There’s two things Indonesian’s can out-do Americans at, in my humble opinion. Malls and restaurants. Here’s a few places we ate at near Bandung on Java.
My wife is from Indonesia and we went to visit her parents this summer on the island of Java. Last time I visited a few years ago I got healthy (or unhealthy) doses of dirty, polluted streets and glitzy malls. (Their malls make ours look like a tree house, but our shopping centers make their hole-in-the-wall shops look like mouse holes.)
I took a weekend hike at a local wildlife preserve, McLane Creek Nature Trail. Not a long hike, but I am always amazed at what I find in this part of Washington State in the dead of winter!
