I took a weekend hike at a local wildlife preserve, McLane Creek Nature Trail. Not a long hike, but I am always amazed at what I find in this part of Washington State in the dead of winter!
I just sold my EF 17-40mm f/4L which has been my main lens for years, and replaced it with the EF 16-35mm f/4L. Both are excellent lenses, but the “16” costs another $250 to $400 more (depending on where you buy). It has image stabilization, which the “17” does not, it’s slightly wider, but it’s missing 5mm on the telephoto end of the zoom range.
It’s been raining non-stop for a week here in western Washington State. At least it feels like it. Every opportunity I have to get away from work or other obligations, it’s raining enough to put my camera or lenses in jeopardy. But when I can’t get out, I like to go back and look for old photos I didn’t choose to edit and post the first time around.
